Lake Megunticook Tour (4 hours)
Camdens Lake Megunticook offers warm water for kayaking along
with beautiful landscapes and fresh water wildlife. This tour begins
at the Bog Bridge Public Landing on Route 105 north of Camden. We will
look for loons, ducks, osprey, eagles, and turtles as we paddle past
the protected waterfront toward the undeveloped shoreline of Fernalds
Neck Preserve. If time permits, well land at Fernalds Neck
where we may see wildflowers, other flora, and birds during a short walk.
This relaxing paddle on the lake also imparts vistas of the Camden Hills
State Park and Maidens Cliff area.
