Registration Information
We strongly encourage you to register early for your preferred trips. Registering by phone with a Visa or Mastercard is the quickest and easiest method. You can also register by using our online registration form. We will contact you within five days to confirm your registration and method of payment.

For our two hour, half day, and full day tours we require full payment
to hold your space. For multi-day and custom programs, we require
a 50%
deposit to hold your place. The balance of the payment is due by three
weeks before the program starting date.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Any cancellation made more than 14 days before the starting program
date will be fully refunded. Cancellations made 48 hours to 14 days before
the trip date will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations made within
48 hours will receive no refund.
Weather
The weather in Maine can change very rapidly, and is unpredictable
at times. Therefore, we can not make a refund if the participant decides
their program day is less than ideal. However, if Breakwater Kayak, LLC
decides a trip will be canceled due to unsafe weather conditions you will
have the opportunity to reschedule your trip or receive a full refund.
Some of our programs (ie. multi-day trips) require a minimum number of participants (usually 4) for the trips to go. If this minimum is not met within three weeks of the program date, participants will be notified. Your options will be to wait two more weeks to see if the trip meets the minimum, or to cancel and receive a full refund or reschedule to another program of your interest.
Once we have processed your registration we will send you a detailed list of items we suggest you bring for a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable program. Some essentials for any of our sea kayaking programs we offer include: Non-cotton t-shirt or longsleeve shirt (polypropolene or similar material); fleece or a jacket of similar material; paddling jacket or windbreaker; hat; shoes that can get wet; full water bottle; sunglasses; and sunscreen. Optional items to bring are binoculars and waterproof camera.
All of our programs will include the services of a Registered Maine Guide, the necessary paddling gear, and safety equipment. Full day trips include a lunch, and multi-day trips will also include the cooking gear, and expertly prepared delicious food for the duration of the program (except for breakfast on the first day). For multi-day programs, tents are provided but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag, pad (backpacking style), etc. Anything you need can be rented from nearby outfitters.
