Breakwater
Kayak, LLC continues its relationship with the Maine
Audubon Society. Located in delightful Muscongus
Bay, Hog Island is National Audubon's first and oldest ecology camp
and is now administered by Maine Audubon. The 330-acre island is beautifully
spruce-studded and offers trails for its exploration. You will enjoy
delicious home-style meals prepared by your guide and relax in Hog
Islands rustic accommodations. The natural history of Muscongus
Bay is the focus of these tours, which are appropriate for all ages
and skill levels. Don't let the word camp put you off.
Hog Island is for adults as well as kids. Hog Island offers
adult, family, and youth programs, so take a look at the schedule to see
what might work for you.
Some of these programs incorporate sea kayaking in conjunction with Breakwater Kayak.
